Dear Mary and Kiddies.

I hope you will all be feeling fine by the time you receive this, I have been able to march every day up to hill nickname (59) it is one longe clime, one gets very sticky we do not know just when we will leave here will not get our mail untill we do go up the line it is best to learn all we can here first. I have had a time breaking a new pair of shoes have to put lots of papers in them, the papers are not very good just now different from what they should be, these countrys are not what they [aut?] to be, I have lots of dreams of you Mary Bruce and Fred and Father was down town got a pair of gloves had a good ride supper went to a good show
