Camp Borden
June 8/43

Dear Marg and Marie,

Well here it is Tuesday morning of June 8/43 and we are proceeding on draft this afternoon. I got up for graduation all right and had a swell time, thanks to you Marie. I got Frances a locket, and gave her a large picture like the one I gave to Mum. I was also up to Midland for the dance on Saturday night I was back to camp in time for role call on Sunday morning, “not bad eh.”

Marie I asked about my war bond here but they all go through Ottawa so Mum will get it any time now.

All the R.C.’s on draft went to confession and Communion at a special Mass they had yesterday afternoon so I am all set now, the priest gave us all a smart cross and blessed it.

Well I am in a rush as you have probably noticed already so I will say “so long” for now

By the time you get this letter I will be well on my way, if I get a chance I will post a letter at the coast or phone you in Toronto but don’t count on it, I will send Mum a cablegram as soon as I get to fog Island she will let you know.

“so long”
From big brother
Love
Lloyd

Please excuse the hand writing.
