Diary

Fri. June 15 -

Was on fatigue party working on dugout at Right O.P. on Vimy Ridge. Extremely hot
day. In evening had a bath in a shell hole near a clump of bushes. Water none to clean but felt good. When on our way back, we were in open and Fritz sent some shrapnel after us but we lay low for awhile and soon got back alright. From Vimy Ridge one can see for quite a distance and several towns in German hands are in plain view.
