Dear Mom,

This is a special Thank-you letter!

Thanks millions for the TWO boxes from you, Mom.

Yes, they both arrived at once: the "eats" parcel and the "soap" parcel.
Thanks for the cute little tie clip, the two pairs of undershorts and the two pairs of black socks.

Those lemon and orange candy slices are very special. And I like the "chewy" cookies, the bars, the gum, and the peanuts. I've eaten some of everything, but I'm leaving the little Christmas cake for the Happy Day.

And the box of soap! Thanks for it. I was just now using the last bar of Sunlight, when the box arrived, so it came at the right time. Thanks for the little writing pads. I use them for lots of things.

It was also good to get the Nov. 17th copy of the Halifax Herald.

Here's hoping that the Billards will have a Happy Christmas.
