Dear Mom,

As i told you in my last letter, I went to a dance at the Royal Baths, here in Harrogate. It's a very swanky place. with lots of girls wearing beautiful evening gowns. The place is like a Hollywood setting, with a fountain and beautiful bushes outside the Hall.

On Sunday, I strolled around the town, looking in the store windows, and finally ending the morning with a walk through the very beautiful Valley Gardens. The Gardens still look lovely, even though Fall has gradually been taking away some of the beauty of the place.

Wednesday night I intend to come to Harrogate to see May, when she comes home on her leave. Please send me my ice skates, since I'll likely be here all winter, so I may as well have them. If possible register them, since they are ( to me ) very valuable.

Guess that is all for now. Love, Lewis.
