Dear Helen

I received your letter the other day of Mar 11 and the three pictures and I was very glad to get them and hope I will get some more of the rest of the family soon I got in a couple of pictures the other day a group of us in battle order and I will send them as soon as this fellow gets them developed I am sure dying to see Carol Anne and am glad to hear she looks like Bill I guess she must look like Cicely too. She must be nearly four months old by now gosh the time flys maybe she will be grown up before I get a chance to see her.

I have been keeping very well although I had one bad cold but that all over now yes the weather has been lovely here lately dafodilares are bloombing all over the place and most of the trees are out I guess it must be getting pretty nice there by now.  Yes London have be getting it pretty bad. I remember that dance hall been bomb but I diden’t hear about that. Phyll Segram been killed of course there are lots of Canadian killed in London that you never hear about only last Wednesday April 16 the Victoria Club in London was hit with a land mine and complite wrecked killing 125 Canadian and twice that many in the hospital and the same night the overseas Club was hit killing quite a few Canadians. I was in London last week-end and they had a very bad raid on Saturday night and you could never realize just what it is like but you know there is nothing you can do about it so we just went to our hotel and went to bed but you can tell Mother not to worry as I will not be going to London again I saw enough that night. I guess Mary is glad Pat is getting home I hope he made it safely he is one of the lucky ones to get away from all this but then he had his share in the last war. I got 300 hundred Cigarettes from Bob Braun to-day which is sure swell of him I have received quite a few from him. Yes all the help from the States means alot and I wouldent be a bit surprised if it were all over this fall but one never know thing look pretty bad in Greese right now.

Well Helen dear I reall can’t think of any more to say so will close for just now

Much love
Mac
