Dear Mom,

Enclosed are two Postal Orders for One Pound each to pay for Joyce's present. Later I'll send the other Pound, because we are only allowed to send Two Pounds in anyone day.

I'm here in Edinburgh having a wonderful, wonderfu1 time!

You rmember that I spoke about Betty in my other letter. Well, I've been to see her parents. She is terrific, as sweet as can be and smiling all the time. When I get to know her better, I'll tell you more.

She's quite short. I'll have to get a picture of her to send to you later. Her Mother and Dad are very nice, and as usual. in Scotland, I felt right at home the moment I arrived. There seems to be so much warmth here in Scotland. I like the way the people roll their r's. Betty speaks like that, and I could listen to her speaking all day.

Now I'm off to meet her as she comes home from work.

I'll write again soon.

Love, Lewis.

P. S. Cash the Posta1 Orders at the Bank, since they are crossed.
