Dear Friends,

I received your parcel a few days ago and it was a most welcome surprise. Chocolates are something which we rarely see over here and the fellows in my billet including myself really enjoyed them.

It really makes us fellows over here feel a lot better, to know the folks back home are thinking about them and especially at Christmas time, when home seems so close to every-one.

It really isn’t so bad over here, but just the same there is no place like home.

So please accept my thanks for remember me and also the fellows in the billet who also enjoyed the chocolates.

Sincerely,
Ralph Henderson.
