My Dear wife and sweetheart

I suppose you have wrote your usual week end letters, but I have not received them, I suppose Ill get them all in a bunch, Well Kiddo I got my transfer but not where I wanted it, I got it to the 75th Battln instead, well it is all in a life time, by the time you read this Ill be doing my bit in the trenches, because Im going their shortly, I have heard of Billy Taylor since I arrived, he is allright, I hope to meet him, shortly, Well Kiddo Im feeling a better man today than I ever was, I’m what they call in the pink of condition, and feeling jake, I have no McDonalds Chewing tobacco though, I hope you have sent some by this time, how did you get along, about the change in the Patriotic fund, did they straiten it up allright, if not, get Bert to see about it he will straiten it out, without any trouble, Well I suppose by the time you read this you’ll be thinking of Xmas, I hope you have a good time, because you know if it is possible, I certainly will enjoy myself, And next Xmas I’ll be with you and we will enjoy it together, just like old times, I hear that Harry Rose is wounded and is going back to Canada, lucky devil I hope he was a better soldier than he was a man. Hows Minnie getting along if I had his address I would write to him, he certainly deserves to get through, now after two years of it. Well Kiddo Ill write more next time especially if I hear from you in the meantime, Well Kiss little Hughina for me hope she is keeping well.
