Dear Dad,

Well I am still a patient and likely will be for another week. I was out last evening for a couple of hours, tho and again this morning. I will also be out this evening. Don’t go very far yet as I am weak from little food. To-morrow after noon, will be out and at the theatre in the evening.

They took blood from all of us this afternoon, and are looking for typhoid or a similar trouble, but on account of our inoculation we did not really get the disease. This is the only theory that has been advanced so far and they are working on it.

I feel pretty well now and unless the attack returns, we should be O.K. will write again in a couple of days.

Your affectionate son,
Worth.
