Dear Mildred:-

I can’t be sure just when I wrote you last but going back to a week ago Sunday Jeff and I went to church. We had no idea what sort of a service to expect not having been in the city before but the one we chose was a sort of mission service. However the singing was wholehearted and I got used to the Amen and Praise God etc. I’d say it was sort of like the breathern.

Grant is still absent from our party I suppose in hospital or on leave. Jeff was sick for two days and Sel for four, both in hospital but they are now OK again. I have been keeping well but so far have not had any mail so our birthday was very quiet as I expect Christmas will be. However it is nice to be on a squadron and have some regular work to keep one busy. We are having a party or dinner tomorrow, so guess thats about the limit of our celebrations this year. So long Sis and as usual my love –

Laurence.
