My dear Jack.

I was very glad indeed to get your letters which arrived yesterday with the one your Daddy sent.

It's quite a long time since I saw you, isn't it? But some day when we have killed all the germans I am going back to Victoria to see you, and I will tell you all about it.

Give my love to your sister Kathleen and your little brothers Bob & Stanley. I am glad you are all so well. I am quite well too, but am very busy getting my machine gun ready to kill some Germans for you.

Give my love to your Daddy & Mama and tell them that I will answer their letter soon.

Your letter was so important I had to answer it at once.

With love from
Uncle Wilfred.

P.S. Thank you for the Union Jack.
