My darling girl

Your note with Gwladys letter, also a letter from wee Gwladys to hand. You dont say whether you want me to return Gwladys letter so I dont know what to do with it, I think I'll return it. I had heard of Mrs. Chalmers' death, Douglas Cox told me a few days ago. We made another move yesterday, about 12 miles from our last place, but about the same distance from the line, this is a nice little village, but not quite as large as the last place we were at, we are however quite comfortable. We had arranged a program of sports for the 24th but it rained pretty well all day so we had to cancel them, the weather since the rain has been a little cooler. The crops are looking splendid out here.

Well kiddie I dont get your letters quite as often as I'd like, so whenever I have not had a letter from you between my dates for writing I will just send you a field Post card. What about those photos of you & the bairns, wake up for the love of Mike & get them taken.

Well sweetheart I havn't much news, everything going lovely here, I get on O.K. with the other officers. This is Sunday, we had Church Parade this morning & this afternoon will probably go for a long walk with a few of the other officers. Fondest love to you & kiddies.

Your loving,

Jim
