Dearest Darling.-

Received four letters from you to-day., which makes it a very eventful day. I was very happy darling to get them, and know that things are getting a bit settled with you now. Glad to hear also your watch was returned. We went skating on the lake this afternoon but it was windy and cold so we nearly froze, and its really a horrible nite out to-nite! the wind is blowing about. We are number one crew to go out in the morning so I hope the weather clears a bit. I wasn’t on leave in Scotland Darling we were very busy boys doing 14hr. patrols off the east coast of Scotland just look at a map and you will see what it is like. As far as parties are concerned darling we have our usual thursday nite party and dance, also we have big plans for xmas & New years. Informal dance at christmas in the mess, Squadron dance in the recreation hall on the 29th, Formal dance in the mass at New years, of course the bar at xmas & New years is open all day and all drinks free. Darling haven’t you received the sheep skin or parcel I sent yet (if you haven’t they must have been lost) they were sent a long time ago. I got some christmas cards I’m sending out and Darling I guess that is the extent of my christmas shopping, nothing seems to be getting to you anyway. but darling dont send presents to anyone as long as the kids have xmas that is the main thing. The fellows in the hut have been getting parcels from different sources right along and we have more biscuits, candy, cakes, etc than we know what to do with. Well sweetheart I wish I was home with you right now I’d just love to curl up in your arms and stay there. I guess I had better close this for now I have my washing soaking and must get some sleep before I get pulled out of bed very early for a trip. So good nite darling all my love and kisses

Your lonely husband
Frank.
