Hullo Princess!

How are you to-day? I trust you are your own sweet happy self and all those bruises are better. I want to come and see you, or are you coming to Sandy Lake in the car one of these days. (Did Arthur get a car yet?) Do you know Kiddie I just don’t know what to think, I mean about farming and everything. I feel a little dubious about it. I don’t want to give up the idea, I’ll guess I’ll wait untill an answer comes from the Settlement Board.

The fellow here says it isn’t profitable to do anything but breaking and building the first year, and that I think would be too great a strain on expenses, I mean with food, grain and hay and seed to buy for two years and no income. I suppose though that this difficulty could be overcome if I learn how. So far I’ve learnt to coil hay, and stook grain, and neither in my mind are very interesting or exciting occupations. Gee! I just began to hate the sight of a hay fork I could do breaking forever at Alicedale Farm with a certain little Angel to bring out lunch once in a while, but this is nothing like that. Oh! well Cheerio will win out yet. I guess you will imagine from this that I am a little down hearted. Well my own Darling I believe I am, because I just can’t see the way clear to do anything just now. You love me just a little don’t you Dear? That should make me a happy boy, Good Bye for now. All my love my Angel

Yours forever
Harry
