Dear Gladys

I now take the pleasure in answering your kind and ever, welcome letter which I recieved at noon and was glad to hear from you.

So Charlie has sailed he may be in this camp so I will try and find out if he is or not. I saw one of Burks falls that just landed a few day’s ago I was asking him if any of the sundridge boy’s came over with him but he didn’t know of any. I don’t suppose they will stay here long they will likely go over after a few weeks training.

I think your letters are going astray as you havent got my right address dont put my batt or co and they will find me where I am at present I have moved to a differant camp since I wrote you last I am not far from London now. How, is you mother and father and the children I dont suppose I will know them when I get back. Alma has changed a lot since I was home last it is just a little over eight-teen months since I was home and seven months in France and I may see it again before long, as some of the boys say in a joke look at the fun we’re missing. I have a job runner for the orderly room and I like it fine.

Well I will close for this time hoping those few lines may find you all well as it leaves me at present

I remain as Ever
Harold

Bye bye
Write soon
