Dear Gladys

Just a few lines in answer to your kind and ever welcome letter which I received today and was glad to hear from you.

Well you will think I have forgotten you but I have been so busy I could’nt get time but I have a little more time to my self just now. Well I just got back off six days leave I have had twenty two days leave since I came back from France and it dosent seen quite enough yet but we are never satisfied of course we never get leave in France unless you are out there long enough to get fourteen days to Blighty. Well I suppose you are having lots of cold weather over there just now it would be a change if you had weather like we are having now and no snow yet. Well I will close with love to all I remain as ever

Harold

Bye bye write soon and often
