Dear Gladys

Just a few lines to let you know I am well at present and hoping this will find you all the same. I am laid up with a sprained foot but it is getting better now. Well old Fritz puts over a whiz-bang now and again to let us know there is still a war on but he gets a lot back for one.

I havent saw Joe for a long time but he isn’t very far from where I am I am going to try and find him some of these days. Well you will have to excuse this short letter so I will close hoping to hear from you soon

I remain as ever
Harold
