Dear Gladys

I recieved your most kind and welcome letter last night and I was pleased to hear from you as it was the first letter I had from your place. We are all well at present and I hope these few lines may find you all the same. You were wanting to know where Wess Basso was he was turned down once but he is fit now and is in a training co He may leave for France at any time now Well you wish the war was over I dont think it will last a very long time now By the way the papers read over here. Here is one of my photos do you think it looks any thing like me.

Well Gladys I think I have told you all for this time so I will close hoping to hear from you soon I remain as ever

Harold
