Dear Neice

Just a few lines to let you know that I am well hoping this will find yous all the same, I havent had eny mail from you, for a long time not sence I left France we expect to leave here tomorrow to sale for Canada I might be home near as soon as this letter they say we can go across the pond in six days, going back, we were ten days coming over, I think we will have good weather going back, we are having dandy weather here now, the farmers is busy puting in there grain, I guess the farmers wount be started seeding yet around Sundridge

I herd that Mrs Monroe was ded it is sure very sad

I guess they will be quiet a few of the boys from Sundridge home by now

I hope you had a good spring for making syrup, I know I can eate a gallon when I git home well I must close for this time as news is very scarce,
