Dear Mother

I have just enough time to write you a few lines and let you know we leave here at 6-30 Friday Morning for Montreal and as we are going to go straight on board ship I think this will be my last letter for a week or two, if I can write on board I will do so the first chance I have. The 19th Battn. is going to-night, and last night they had a great time, at midnight the 20th Battn. came over and joined the 19th with their brass band and they marched over to the Sergant’s quarters and the officer’s and through all the buildings. they kicked up and awful row some had only shirts on and some had their underclothing, they got a 4 o’clock to-night. The Cycle Corps is attached to the Head Quarter Staff and we sail on either the Migantic or the Corintian. We will be all alone on the boat with Staff, that is about eight very high Officers. So now I will close and will wright as soon as poss.

With best love & lots of kisses to all.
