My dear Margaret,

Your letter has just been brought to the office to me. I was going to write to you this very night to ask if it would help you any at all if I came to you in this time when of all times you need your friend. If you feel as I did (and still do) nothing helps so much as to talk of those who have gained the great reward, especially to those who are suffering with us.

Remember, friend of mine, I'm going every inch of the way with you, and will come anytime you would care to have me come. Just let me know. I would love to be with you and could arrange any time.

"To you from failing hands
We throw the torch
Be yours to bear it high"

Ever yours
Elsie
