Dearest People:

Every once in a while I seem to hear little hits of news about Eric Dear. Norman Campbell, a cousin who was on leave, told me Eric was on his way home when his machine was hit. It only meant a very few minutes before he would have been over our lines. Oh! don’t it seem terrible.
