Sept. 20th. 1916.

Dear Mr. Platt:

When I was at the Front, I visited your son’s grave. He is buried in the Lizssenthoek Cemetery, not far from Ypres, and on both sides of him are buried his fellow officers in our Canadian Division. His grave is not far from that of Col. W.R. Marshall’s and that of our Brigadier-General Mercer’s.

You will be interested to know that the cemetery is pleasantly located and is well kept.

Yours sincerely,
N.W. Rowell
