Dear Mother;

I just had my eleventh birthday. I am sorry you couldn’t be hear for it. I had a hair-cut this morning and then went to the capital with Grandpa. First we went to the top of the Vancouver Hotel, we had a fine view of course. Then we went to “Politics” at the Capital it was Marie Pressler and Polly Moran who acted in it, Then we went and had lunch at the “London Café”. OH! OH! I had a whole crab and some a poppy-seed bun, (corn o) cob of corn, spuds, and watermelon. After we came home it started to rain. I chopped all the wood and piled it. We had spare-rib, potatoes, and carrots for supper. For desert we had  plums and chocolate cake with eleven candles. On Sunday we went to Howards. We had fried chicken and what not for supper.
