Dear Ma, Pa and Ruth.

I received the papers today. It rained here last night. We got paid this morning and I have enclosed a postal money order. You don’t have to go out to get a money order but can get one right here. They also register letters, etc. I didn’t spend much last month. I went to the show here tonight. It was a mystery picture but not very good. I hope Art get his leave through O.K. The shipyard strike is over here. It sure was swell chocolates that you sent. Art was saying in his letter that he received his also. I guess the summer is pretty well over now. The news in the paper sure is good these days. I got ninety-nine dollars this time but had some left from last month. We are working everyday. I am O.K. We worked till ten o’clock last night. I hope Ma, Pa and Ruth that you are all O.K. Well that is about all for today. I will write again tomorrow.

Love to all,

Rubert
