#25 O. T. U.

England.

May 25, 1942.

Dear Betts, -

Well youngster – you sure are writing to me often enough – I get at least one a week and sometimes two - so keep up the good work. Today I received your #16 letter – but I have a couple to answer before it so I'll do that now.

The one I have in front of me is #12, written Mar. 22nd, I got it around May 1st.

You started off by saying you had only received one letter so far & I have written 4 letters & two notes – so something is wrong someplace. I'm trying to write to you every other week now – so you'll soon be getting them regularly.

I've been pretty busy the past few weeks – we're flying again & I'm trying to get all my exercises finished & then I might get a spot of leave.

To date I haven't received any of the Argosies sent by the school – but they might not have used the right address.

I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Hicks in some of the things he says about you – you know Sis – I was the same way in school – always up to my neck organising something – anything but school work. And I don't have to tell you what happened to me – the last two years I went to Vic (I think I got 3 credits – of course I did have a lot of fun) But you can't graduate on fun.

Well not let's see what the other letter says, its #13 by the way.

Say I like the snappy note paper, Pat has some like it too.

Yes I heard that Teddy from Mandel – it sure shook me for a while, but I'm all over it now. He sure was a great kid – but we'll get even with those xOx/O!O for he & Bart.

Well – I guess that's about all for now. Tell Mom not to worry about me – I'm O.K.

Lots of Love Sis

So long for now.

Bill.
