Dear Mr. Trusler –

Would you kindly pass along my thanks for the lovely parcel the school sent me for Christmas. It is really great to know that you aren’t forgotten by the old school.

It has been quite cold and wet here lately – and last week we did have about 3 inches of snow

But I guess that is nothing to you people now, after your snowstorm! I certainly would have liked to have been home for that. The schools where never closed on account of the snow when I was going!

I am on my fire watch duty now from 3-6 A.M. and it is nearly over, so I must go now. Thanks again for the parcel.
