Rec'd Oct 2/44 April 5, 1944. Dear Mom - A couple of days ago rec'd yours. Jan. 16, Jim's Jan. 10, Brenda's Dec. 14 and Jan. 17. Also letter from McAdam and a card from Uncle Jim Magrath. Glad to hear Linda is showing signs of being a genius already. Brenda's French should be pretty good when she leaves Bourget. The days are starting to lengthen out now and I'm looking forward to some sun bathing - the sooner the better. Your items of local and movie news much appreciated. I read the jokes out - then run. I'm still walking in circles - boy; I'll be happy the day I can walk for miles in a straight line. I'll probably want to turn every corner I come to. It looks as if I'm going to celebrate a birthday in Germany for the third time - it's getting to be a habit. I suppose Jim is planting the garden now. How's the kelp harvest this year? So long, Mom, love to all, Syd.
