Was on picket from 5-7 p.m. last night, 11-1 a.m., 4-6 a.m. So I didn't get much sleep. We marched through the villages of Heries, Contay and Vandencourt. We are staying in a high wooded hill in tents. We may only be here for Sunday but expect to go into the fighting line any time. The troops are in very high spirits at the thought of a scrap with Fritzie. We are all feeling fine in spite of the 7 or 8 days route march. The route march has toughened us up fine.
