Sept. 8. 1942

Dearest Brenda- I'm writing all my mail early this month because of the restrictions coming into effect on the 10th. Latest letter from you is air mail May 19th, rec'd sometime ago. Latest from Mom Aug. 2 I hope the new job is turning out alright. How's Bob getting along? Send him my love when you write him. Fourteen books from Bog arrived & they're a swell selection. Also "Blues in Night" etc. Good old boogie woogie! Our gang of six Canucks still going strong. Ours is the noisiest room of the barracks, naturally. Third pens parcel arrived & [?] a dandy. I sure am lucky as regards parcels. I'm eagerly awaiting my photo album so I can mount all the snaps you've sent me. Keep 'em rolling! We've got a good baseball & basketball league organized & I have lots of fun. The crib board you sent gets lot of wear also. We're saving the table tennis for the winter days. I'm keeping in the best of health, and hope all of you are, too. Tons of love to Mom & Jim and yourself.

Syd.
