July 2, 1943. Dearest Mom - Yesterday I rec'd yours April 19. May 2 and 3. Brenda's Mar. 6, April 19, 23, May 11, Jim's April 5 and two May 10. Also yours May 10. We've been at this camp nearly 3 weeks now. There are [CENSORED] to a room, brick huts, wood floors lots of room. The air is fresh, always a breeze from the ocean. My February personal arrived complete, a really swell parcel, Mom, thanks a lot. Photo corners will come in handy. Rec'd picture of Brenda and Bob on leave. It's a good picture. Chick Beny's letter arrived and I replied. He's sending a parcel from Cairo. Sorry to hear you had 'flu. Most of us no good at gardening. Do you feel any older for being a prospective Grandmother? Tell Jim Bill Sproule, Brampton would like to hear from Bob Goldham, Navy hockey player. Glad to hear more shortbread coming. We've had Canadian R.C. parcels for a month now. Boy, are they good. Thanks for jokes and Hit Parade in letter. Fellow named Fraser here, from Pt. Alberni, knew Archie, etc. Love, Syd.
