Mr. W. H. Irving,

Toronto,

Canada.

Dear Mr. Irving,

We received a letter yesterday from Gordon and he writes quite cheerfully and seems to be very fit and well and we sent you a cable yesterday to that effect - it seems quiet where he is as he writes he is still on the right side and getting along very well.

He remarks again he hopes to see us again shortly so we hope we shall soon receive advice from him that he has some more leave or will be having some more soon. We will write you from time to time on hearing from him.

I sincerely hope you are keeping quite as well and are not over anxious about Gordon. Very kind regards and best wishes,

Yours sincerely,

ES Metcalf

Love to both
