Dear Mother
I was in Liverpool for six days and had a good time and when I got back to camp I was put in a new Battery as you will see by the new address and the Commanding Officer is Mr Gold he is in full charge so I think I will make myself know to him he is an awful nice man. so I am pritty lucky to get in this new Battery. we are in Barracks here. but in the 1st Reserve we were in tests so it is much better the people in Liverpool made awful fuss over me they had me all over we had some pictures takeing Annie Kathleen and Kathleen Lloyd it is not a good picture of Kathleen Fitzgerald she is a pritty nice girl only I think she is wild she should have someone to take care of her I think she is runing around to much you know I am a pritty good guy but Kathleen Lloyd is the prittest girl I ever sow she is a picture in herself you can see she is standing a land side of me. and I was in London for two hours it is awfull busy place I got in there at 7:30 and had to stay till 9:15 for a train so you see I had a good chance to look around Well I think I will have to close for now tell John I got his letter alright.
Iin this Barracks we have a fire place and gas it is all little rooms a five men in a room so you can see it is pritty nice
it is to bad about Chas Griffin I sent him a letter and it was sent back to me with Killed in Action on the envelope
Well I will say good bye for now
I remain your Son
Owen
