Dear Kid:

Just a line to let you know I am getting along O.K. The little devil could only get a days leave and that over Sunday so I couldn't see very much of him although there is more than ever.

Thanks very much, old dear, for fixing up the Christmas presents if there is any money left grab it before the old man buys a war bond with it. Judging by the rapturostical letters I receive occasionally from Beamsville you did you duty in that direction. I shall have to take her word for it however that they are all that she says as I don't suppose I will ever see them myself.

I have sort of lost count of the number of these letters as I left my record book in France. I think I had written 51 from there and I have written three or four letters from here and two postcards so I will call this 55 & start again. I think I had 42 from you before I came on leave.

Max was writing 126 Sunday morning. Ye Gods!! No wonder there is a paper shortage.

Nester's one time friend Ward is wandering around here somewhere by himself. I shall have to go to a show with him one of these days.

Take care of yourself & Dad & Grannie and don't forget to put out the cat.

Love,

Your own, dear little brother who can't wear his own clothes cause he's getting so fat

Gord
