My dear Sister.

I received your letter a few days ago and was glad to know that you were all well and in the best of health.

Well Marie I have'nt much to say in this letter. If you asked me any questions I dont remember as I burnt all your letters, so if you wanted to know any thing please mention it in your next.

I am at the time of writing in the firingline behind my little gun, we are always ready for the wily hun should he take the notion of looking us up.

When you send your next parcel I would be very pleased to get a few handkerchiefs I didn't have any none for a month they might come in handy if I catch a cold.

I think I might as well come to a close for want of news, hoping to hear from you soon.

Yours affect Brother.
Ewen.
