With the British Expeditionary Force

Dear Ona & Levi & Margerat.

Received a letter from you a few days ago, so thought I would write a few lines to you.

I am well and getting along fine at present and hope you are all well.
The weather here is fine at present and the ground is dry.
I am with the Battalion now so my address will be

"C" Coy. 19th Battalion Canadians
B.E.F. France.

I have not got the package of dates yet, or the parcel that you said you were sending. How is things at Port these days.

I got a letter from Annie Ewen Aunt Maggie L. and Steve & Sol. with the picture of the fish you told me about. I wrote you a letter about six days ago. Well How is things over in Canada these days.

Well Ona I don't know when the war will be over, it may take a long time yet.
