Dear Mother-

Just a line or two to let you know I'm getting on fine and hoping this finds you all the same at home. I received your welcome letter dated 31.3.18 a short while ago, and also the card of Miss Hunt's. It was quite a surprise to me, as I had forgotten them entirely, until I got it. It was too bad that it was not written earlier, and I might have paid them a visit, when I had my Blighty leave. But I'll have to leave it till the next time. I did not find time to write yet, but I might later. Well Mother, I'm glad to hear you got a few more things to help out with the house. You will be quite proud of it. Joe must have enjoyed himself at the Peg, but I'm sorry he could not get fixed up. Bertha P. tells me that she is going to visit you this summer. So I guess that Joe will see that she has a good time! I hear that he paid a visit as he went through. Well you'll be sure to like her, Mother, and will be glad to make her acquaintance. Well Mother, there is not much to write of, so I will have to close. So don't worry, and don't forget we're winning. Best love to all, your loving Son,

Frank
