Dear Mother:-

Received the 50 francs that you sent to me and was returned. It came in 17 days. Also received a pair of gloves addressed to the Sig school. Also you letter including Mame's letter. Thanks ever so much for the money. I don't suppose the other will come but will be returned.

As you can see bythe heading, I am not at Bierges now. I am in the 85th Battalion. None of the artillery of the 4th Div is scheduled to any points east of Montreal so all Nova Scotians were sent to the 85th. We do not wear their uniform and still retain our identity as artillery men. So when you hear that the 85th is arriving you will know I am coming.

The 25th is to leave here the 23rd of April. We had an address by Gen Currie today. If he would get us home instead of talking about it.

I mailed a parcel to Mrs. Dan Smith today.

My pen in dry.

Lovingly
Ludlow
