Dear Lola & Jennie,

Just a few lines in answer to your most welcome parcel which I got to-day 22/5/17 and we had a good drink of cocoa and a feed it was not very much after fourteen of us had it well Lola we are having a good time now at last waiting for twenty month of in the trenches we are at the lst Army School of Instruction and we have some time we only train four hour a day we swim, run, fish, foot ball, bass ball, box, fence, have concerts, about two hundred of. Well my Brother Harry is in the trenches again and believe me the Canadians are making history for themselves now. I think I will come to a close now for this time so write soon don't forget if you have some photo. I would like to seem them so Good-bye.
