Dear Bro Sister & Family,

I thought I must add a line too at this time. As Rob has said we all join in deepest sympathy for you which perhaps is not much but we want you to know we are thinking of you at this time & pray that the Grace which has sustained you before may be yours at this time. It is hard to think of the homes that are broken and hearts that are sad because of this awful war & still it goes on. Yet I beleive in some ways, somehow good will come out of it. God will let you make the wrath of man to praise Him this awful sacrifice couldn't be for nought. We were always so glad to get any word form Hadden. He certainly wrote very cheerful letters. But he has been called to higher service. I trust we may all be found at our post doing our duty as we are sure he did.

Yours with love & sympathy,
Esma
