Dear Beatrice

Just a line to let you know that I am still well hoping that you and my dear children, are the same. I entered in a competition on Wednesday, but fainted in the middle of it, so I must be a little weak yet. I hope I do that when I go out on route march. We are still getting dandy weather here, have had no letters yet this week but I guess there will be one at home by now for me, and will get it about Monday or Tuesday. I got letter from Will today and they are all doing well there. So now dearie this is all for this short note, will write letter in a day or so, so bye for present, with love and kisses to you and my dear children, I remain your affectionate Hubby George
