France June 23/16.

Dear Mother & Dad,

Recieved several letter from you today & was pleased to hear that you are all well but wish you wouldn't worry so much. We are out in rest billets at present and having a fair time. It has rained quite a bit lately but is beginning to dry up now. I hope you don't sell the car befor I come home.

Have recieved everthing you sent me so far except a few parcels that you mentioned in your last letters. I hear that they are having conscription at home. Well, I hope they don't get Wilf. He is practically your support as Dad is getting too old to work.

If he has any option as to what he has to join tell him to join the motor transport of the C.A.S.C.

Was out to a concert last night & it was fine.

Please excuse this short letter as news is short. Am well & hoping this finds you same.

I am.

Your Loving Son

Roy.
