Some of the letters I got form Home were not addressed right. they took quite a while to get here.

I am glad we are going now it will perhaps give us a chance to get Home for a few day at xmas I expect we shall be at the Base for a month or so, so dont get anxious about me.

We have had lovely weather here for the last month, it has been to hot for Route marching. I am in the scouts now, we all had our Photo taken by a man from Ellists & Fry so you might see it in the mirror of Sketch. I never saw the proof's yet they said they would send them to the Officer in charge of us.

I forgot to say that Ted Pitchford's sister & brother were down here, the sister that sings, I had dinner with them. I hope that Sadie & Hugh had a good time while they were away.

Give my love to Emmie & all at Home & be shure & get the address right the letters will be send on from Shorncliffe

I will write again during the week. I remain your loving son

Tommy
