Dear mother

I hope you are all quite well, thank you for the lots of Letter I have been getting lately, We have been having very bad weather here lately, today is the first fine day we have had for some time I am sorry I havent been able to get a letter away for some time, but I think I told you I had been under arrest, but I am out again now. I got my winter underware from the Red X yesterday so I am fixed up for the winter now.

I had a nice long letter from maggie a few days ago, she seems to have enjoyed herself very much this summer I cant do an knitting just now, I have no Wool, but I may be able to get hold of some later on. I was so glad to hear that you had had such a good Harvest, & got it in so well, I thank you very much for the money order, I am afraid that I am an awful nuisance to you all. I am getting my Parcels very regular now, some of them were astray with me moving so much of late, but they are all turning up all right now.

I am quite well, I only hope you all are the same at Home.

Thank Sadie for me for the letter, I got from her a few days ago

give my love to Emmy & Joan & all at Home

your loving Son

Tom.
