Dear mother

Thank you for your letter I hope that you are getting nice Weather now, we have a lovely day today quite a Summer day. I am getting my parcels all right now, I had two yesterday, I didnt get the pipes yet, but I expect they will be along soon.

I am afraid the bad Weather must make you very late with your crops I dont think I ever saw spring so late before. Well I hope that this War wont last much longer I am getting tired of seeing Europe.

I havent got any news, of course; I'm in the best of health, & I hope that you are all the same at Home, give my regards to Mr Arky, & my love to Emmy & Joan, I wish I could have a game of Tennis with Sadie a nice day like Today. your loving son

Tom.
