Dear Mother

Thank you very much for your letter, I resieved a parsel & a letter from Emmie today, it was very good of her to send me it, please dont trouble to send me any more though, its awful nice to have some extras, but now we are getting lots to eat, & it is only putting you to trouble & expense, I think I shall be comeing Home about the middle of next week, all leave was cancelled until the 15th because they are expecting some of those fancy Canadian generals to come & inspect us, I think it is Hughes. We are having very fine Weather down here now, I went for a long walk on Sunday, the Country round here is very pretty

The 31st Canadian Bat is going to the front this week, they were up in Calgary all winter.

I havent heard from maggie since I left Medicine Hat, I've written to her two or three times, when we came accross the ocean I was way down below the water line in 3rd class right over the [?], I was only really sick one day though, most day I had a headache but not very bad.

I have very little news Today give my to love to all, & thank you very much for your parcel

I remain

your loving Son

Tommy
