Mindon 2 July 1917.

Dear Mother

I hope you are all quite well, I had two letters from maggie yesterday, dated 18th & 20th of may, they seem to be doing very well now ,she said real estate was going up, I expect you would be very pleased to hear that.
We are still having lovely weather here, there was some very nice rain, it is looking a little like rain again tonight.

I am getting my Parcels all right now, they dont send them by Express any longer, & now they come much quicker. I shall be very glad when this was finished, it is very tiresome being shut up this lovely Weather, I think it is worse in the summer than the winter. I supose the Boys are busy getting Hay now, I only wish I could help them.

I havent any news, at all, of course, I only wish we could get some.

give my love to Sadie & the Boys & to Emmy & gran

I remain

your loving Son

Tom.

(P.S) We didnt have to send our letters in today, as there was a letter mail up today, I didnt get one from you, but, I got one from a girl in Edmonton (Alta), who I dont know, her name is Miss Sadie Osborne.

I got two Parcels today one tobacco & the other food.

The Country around here is looking splendid, it is very flat just like the Prairie, only of course there are more trees here, it is very pretty give my love to all Tom.
