Dear Mom:

Your letter with the snaps arrived the other day. The snaps are all good and very much appreciated. At long last I have some to send home. Next week I hope to have some more.

Well I have been here three weeks now and every thing is going fine. We go into the shops at 8 every morning and out as 12, back again at 1:30 until 5:30 which finishes the day for us. At the present time we are just using a file and am I ever sick of it. They tell us that we have about four more weeks of it ahead of us yet. Every afternoon we have an hour and a half of math. That is not bad at all it is just a review of what we had at school.

The weather here is just grand it has only rained twice since I left Halifax. It is very hot here but I don't mind.

Well I have been having a swell time here I have been out to one of the boy's homes several times. His mother and dad are grand they make you feel right at home. The family is just the opposite of ours there are three boys and one girl. The girl is about the same age as Shirley, the boys are all older. There is one in the navy, the one with me and one at home, he hopes to get in the air force.

Last weekend I stayed at their place.

Yesterday I wrote a short note to gram and gave her my address.

You asked if I would like to have my sweat shirt. I was going to ask you to send along the white one and a blue one. At the present time I don't need any shorts but you might pick up a couple of pairs so you have them when I want them.

There isn't much more that I can think of now so I will close for now.

Love
Ted.

P.S. I hope you like the pictures. Will you tell Barbara that I will send her some pictures in her next letter.
