Dear Mom:

This is just a short note to let you know that I am getting a new address.

Before I give it to you I will answer the letter that I received today.

The next time that I am home I guess that I notice quite a difference in the basement.

Well I am not going to get any more leave for a while so I guess that I won't be home. As for staying in Canada I am on draft now. Just when I am leaving I don't know.

I know that you don't like the idea but I want to go and it is too late to try to back out now.

As soon as I arrive I will let you know. This will probably be the last word for a while.

It is too bad that I did not go home in March, that is another thing that nothing can be done about now.

Well it looks as though I am not going to see Les until I come back. I am sorry to hear that he has been sick.

I slipped up on my letter to Bob but I did write to Bill. Before I leave I will write him.

Gee! I don't know what to say.

We were issued with new uniforms today and replaced any of the things that were very worn.

I am sending a few things home that I have not room for. When I get over I may get you to send them to me if I can use them.

There is my camera for one thing and a roll of film for it that you can use up. If you have any use for the rest of the stuff use it.

I am taking some soap and razor blades with me so I will be alright for a while.

Will you let the kids know as I may not have time to write them.

I am sending this air mail but have no idea when it will go.
Here is the address they gave us.

I am sorry that I forgot to mention Shirley's picture. It is quite a picture.

I am enclosing a couple of myself. They were taken in Halifax.

Well I will close for now, give my love to every one.

Love
Ted
